Where are the shadows for the distant subjects in the first pic? If you are going to use PS why not do the whole thing in PS – rendering perspective irrelevant.

I think this article misses one of the most important uses of a wide angle lens. The effective focus range is much closer than longer lenses. For example, my 24mm f2 will focus at less than a foot.

When do I use it? When I want to get right smack in the middle of something. If I’m in the middle of a crowd, trying to capture candid portraits in a busy street, ect…
